Visa TLV: Redefining Office Space Interior Design

Studio Shirli Zamir Creates a Unique and Fluid Working Environment

The new VISA innovation center and offices in Tel Aviv, designed by Studio Shirli Zamir, offer a fresh perspective on office space interior design. Inspired by the city's skyline, the design seamlessly integrates the urban view into the office, creating a fluid and open working environment.

Shirli Zamir Design Studio took the magnificent 360-degree view of Tel Aviv and transformed it into a three-dimensional, fluid, and asymmetrical partition system. The rhythm of the buildings outside the window was brought inside, creating a unique interpretation of the city's skyline. This innovative approach allows the office space to reflect the dynamic energy of the city.

The office plan offers a variety of work areas, including quiet spaces for focused work, informal collaboration areas, and formal conference rooms. Additionally, hot desks are available for young start-up companies, providing a flexible and dynamic workspace. The design also includes an innovation center, which can be easily reconfigured based on the number of people using movable partitions.

One of the standout features of the design is the custom-made 3D partitions. These partitions were created using hollow oak wood boxes in different silhouettes and depths, mimicking the shapes and volumes of the surrounding buildings. The partitions serve both functional and aesthetic purposes, providing privacy for important meetings while maintaining an open and transparent atmosphere.

The attention to detail in the design is evident in the lighting fixtures used in the meeting rooms. Clean, modern, and unique, the thin-wood covered lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience for employees and visitors.

The project, located on Rotschild Blvd in Tel Aviv, spans 500 square meters and is situated on the 18th floor of a high-rise building. It includes a multi-taction room, a kitchen, dining area, hot-desk open space, large formal meeting room, medium-sized meeting rooms, and a phone booth for private conversations or meetings.

The design process began with a thorough study of the site and its surroundings. The mesmerizing skyline view became the initial inspiration, and the shapes, shades, volumes, and rhythm of the urban landscape were carefully analyzed. This research laid the foundation for the unique and innovative design approach.

One of the main challenges of the project was maximizing the functionality of the relatively small space. The design had to accommodate various functions, including work areas, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and storage, while maintaining a fluid and open layout. The use of see-through 3D partitions allowed for the seamless integration of these different areas, creating a cohesive and visually stunning workspace.

The Visa TLV project, designed by Studio Shirli Zamir, has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2018. This prestigious award acknowledges the design's creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving the quality of life.

With its innovative approach to office space interior design, the Visa TLV project by Studio Shirli Zamir sets a new standard for creating functional, inspiring, and visually captivating work environments.
